Ditch discord and chat on xmpp

Use chat.conversejs.org as this is cross platform and you can use it inside your browser.
Conversejs doesn't support voice calls, but it's not like we were often on vc, guh...

Create an account

If you don't have an account yet click on Create an account.

In the only field available type exactly: theattic.cyou

Do not add https:// or anything else. Just the domain name.

Click Fetch registration form and you will be prompted to enter:

  • Username: Choose your desired username (for example retard). This will become your JID (Jabber ID): retard@theattic.cyou.
  • Password: Choose a secure password.

Click Register. Conversejs will contact the server theattic.cyou and attempt to create your account.
If successful, you will land on Conversejs main page.


Log in with an existing account

This is by default the landing page of Conversejs.

  • XMPP Adress: this is JID you created on account creation (for example retard@theattic.cyou)
  • Password: The secure password you've choosen on account creation.

Click on Log in.

Once you are logged in you can join a chatroom by clicking on the button on the right of Groupchats then Query server. Main chatroom is named retards.

You can also add the groupchat by clicking Add groupchat then paste retards@conference.theattic.cyou as the adress and choosing the nickname you want to join as. retards is available to any XMPP user, not only theattic.cyou members.
